The platform collates all requests for donor agencies to properly respond to the needs of the country. While the platform is currently being used for COVID response, as Jamaica faces future emergencies, like earthquakes and hurricanes, the system will be capable of coordinating other emergency responses. The platform is leveraging open source tools to build surveys that gather information on emerging requests and donor pledges. Additionally, it is using DFA Monitoring as a system to build a response plan for COVID-19. Focal points in the country will aggregate all of the requests and pledges in the plan to understand the status of delivery for necessary items, funding and technical assistance.
