DevInfo
The foundation of open data for development
DevInfo, and ChildInfo before it, fostered the use of development data for reporting progress and planning concrete action. Adopted by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on behalf of the UN Development Group in 2004, DevInfo laid the groundwork for data democratization — inspiring platforms like Data For All to make development data more accessible and actionable.
For the team at CSF, support to the DevInfo Initiative provided invaluable experience in understanding and supporting national statistical systems. This experience informs our work to this day.
