CSF partnered with Alma College to implement the Data For All Monitoring platform and strengthen the institution’s strategic planning and performance tracking processes.

A key challenge faced by the college was the absence of a structured system to support the formulation, operationalization, and monitoring of its Evergreen Strategic Plan. To address this, CSF worked closely with college administrators and faculty leaders to establish a comprehensive results framework, define measurable indicators, and map data sources aligned with institutional goals and the broader development priorities of the City of Alma.

Through the introduction of DFA Monitoring — an open-source, web-based planning, monitoring, and reporting tool — Alma College can now track progress across departments, enhance collaboration, and improve accountability in achieving its strategic objectives.

This pilot initiative also provided CSF with valuable insights to extend DFA Monitoring to future higher education institutions seeking to strengthen their data-driven planning and reporting mechanisms.
