Implementing the National Development Plan Monitoring Platform in Malawi
Project Description
Community Systems Foundation in partnership with the Government of Malawi, and with support from the UNDP and World Food Programme, is strengthening national monitoring and evaluation systems through the implementation of a Data For All (DFA)-based online monitoring platform.
The initiative supports the government in tracking progress on the National Development Plan (NDP), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and humanitarian indicators across the country. By deploying DFA Monitoring, national stakeholders can collaboratively report on development priorities and outcomes, ensuring greater transparency and accountability.
In addition, CSF established a centralized SDG and Humanitarian Data Warehouse, accessible through DFA Visualizer—a powerful data exploration tool that enables users to generate customized reports, tables, maps, and graphs. This marks the latest step in Malawi’s journey toward institutionalizing data-driven decision-making and strengthening national systems for sustainable development monitoring.
