UNICEF TransMonEE Portal for Enhanced Equity Monitoring
Project Description
The TransMonEE (Transformative Monitoring for Enhanced Equity) portal presents a comprehensive view of socioeconomic conditions affecting children and women in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CEE/CIS).
Originally established in 1992 by UNICEF’s Innocenti Research Centre, the TransMonEE database serves as a repository of key indicators across sectors including education, health, water and sanitation, social protection, and child rights. The data is used by governments, civil society organizations, donors, and researchers to inform evidence-based policymaking and social policy analysis.
As part of UNICEF’s ongoing effort to strengthen the platform, CSF developed an online adaptation of the TransMonEE database, transforming it into a modern, interactive portal. CSF designed and implemented data dashboards, enhanced content management capabilities, and introduced tools to track regional priorities over time.
In 2018, CSF further supported the redesign of the TransMonEE portal, integrating dashboards, publications, and event information within a unified web environment. Ongoing technical assistance and maintenance from CSF ensure the platform’s sustainability and continuous alignment with UNICEF’s monitoring and reporting priorities
- Developed and hosted the online version of the TransMonEE database for UNICEF CEE/CIS.
- Created interactive dashboards to visualize child and gender equity indicators across multiple sectors.
- Supported the design and integration of a comprehensive web portal combining data, publications, and event content.
- Enabled dynamic monitoring of UNICEF’s regional priorities and progress over time.
- Strengthened accessibility and usability of socioeconomic data for policy, advocacy, and research.
- Provided ongoing technical support and maintenance to ensure system sustainability.
