Anemia Free India: Real-Time Nutrition Monitoring Platform
Project Description
CSF partnered with UNICEF India and the Government of India to design and develop the Anemia Free India portal and mobile application—digital tools enabling real-time monitoring of progress toward reducing anemia across the country.
Launched in 2017, the initiative supports national efforts to halve anemia prevalence by 2022 through data-driven decision-making and evidence-based planning. The platform consolidates data from the Health Management Information System (HMIS), National Family Health Survey (NFHS), and Census of India, offering a comprehensive overview of nutrition indicators.
Through interactive dashboards, maps, and visualizations, the system allows users to monitor progress across national, state, and district levels, with disaggregated views by demographic and social groups. Users can generate data profiles, quarterly progress reports, and advocacy materials to inform policy and program interventions.
The Anemia Free India dashboard and mobile application serve as powerful tools to improve transparency, accountability, and coordination across sectors in India’s fight against anemia.
