Life-Saving Commodities Practitioners’ Network for UNICEF

Global
2016

Project Description

CSF partnered with UNICEF to develop the Life-Saving Commodities Practitioners’ Network, an interactive online platform designed to connect global experts and practitioners working to improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes.

Since 2012, more than 450 experts from 83 organizations have been implementing the recommendations of the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities to expand access to 13 essential health commodities for women and children. To support this effort, UNICEF established the online network to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, and technical learning among practitioners and decision-makers across high-burden countries.

Hosted as a members-only community of practice, the platform facilitates dialogue and shared problem-solving while also offering a public knowledge library, an ask-the-expert feature, and rich multimedia content to foster broader engagement.

Launched in August 2016, the network plays a critical role in advancing the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Health. Following the launch, CSF continued to provide technical maintenance and support, ensuring the platform’s sustainability and long-term usability.
