Empowering INSTAT Mali with Data For All for SDG Monitoring
Project Description
In continuation of a longstanding collaboration, a delegation of the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) of Mali visited the Data For All (DFA) Lab for advanced capacity-building on the the management of the Malikunnafoni platform. The mission focused on enhancing the data platform — Mali’s national data system — to strengthen data dissemination and promote evidence-based decision-making across government institutions.
Having used DevInfo since 2006, INSTAT has now transitioned Malikunnafoni to the DFA platform, modernizing its national data ecosystem. Through new data-driven dashboards and a user-friendly mobile application, the initiative enables greater accessibility and use of national statistics. This focus on data dissemination marks a critical step toward advancing Mali’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Poverty Reduction Strategy by ensuring that decision-makers at all levels can access timely, reliable, and actionable insights.
