Data 4 Development: Empowering Jamaica’s Most Vulnerable Communities

Jamaica
2021

Project Description

CSF in collaboration with the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), is enhancing the Vision 2030 Jamaica Data Portal by integrating indicators and data from the Community Renewal Programme (CRP). Launched in 2011, the CRP aims to promote socioeconomic well-being and improve living conditions in Jamaica’s most volatile and vulnerable communities—contributing directly to inclusive growth and equitable national development.

Through this ongoing collaboration, the Vision 2030 Jamaica platform has been expanded to include community-level indicators linked to national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This integration has enabled the creation of new disaggregated indicators that can be tracked through an interactive dashboard.

By embedding CRP data into the existing Vision 2030 Jamaica framework, the platform is evolving into a multi-sectoral Data4Development system, providing an integrated strategy for monitoring, planning, and decision-making in support of Jamaica’s national development goals.
