Project Description

The MaldivInfo platform was developed in 2016 by the Maldives National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in collaboration with UNICEF and CSF, to strengthen access to and use of national data for decision-making.

Built on DevInfo technology, MaldivInfo serves as a comprehensive database consolidating demographic and socioeconomic information from multiple government departments. The platform supports data-driven analysis across key themes, including crime and justice, economy and labour, education and skills, health, environment, and community well-being. The latest census data sets were added to this database.

Designed to encourage the use of data in policymaking, MaldivInfo features interactive dashboards and visualization tools that transform complex datasets into intuitive maps, charts, and graphs. These tools enable users to analyze national and subnational trends, fostering transparency and evidence-based governance in The Maldives.
