UNICEF Namibia OpenEMIS DNEA Namibia Examinations Application, Capacity Building Trainings and Dashboard DevelopmentThrough the OpenEMIS Namibia project, OpenEMIS staff are assisting DNEA staff to increase their capacity on data management and dissemination in the critical area of national examinations.In 2019, the OpenEMIS team conducted a series of missions to scope and assist the Directorate of National Examinations and Assessment with technical assistance in database management and the development of indicators.The missions focused on technical training, a data analysis training, an analysis of the Examinations Application and the Returned Certificates Application, and input for the new Examinations Application Specifications document. With an effort to visualize progress on education statistics in the country, the OpenEMIS team presented an Examinations dashboard that was built using OpenEMIS Dashboard Builder. This dashboard will assist DNEA staff to assess the number of full and part-time candidates in English as a Second Language, Mathematics and Physical Science.​
