OpenEMIS Solomon Islands Deployment of OpenEMIS in Solomon IslandsTo monitor more effectively the implementation of all aspects of education policies and plans in the country, Solomon Islands is implementing OpenEMIS.​To strengthen the capacities in education planning and management, Solomon Islands is upgrading the current EMIS through the implementation of OpenEMIS. In a moment of transition, OpenEMIS’s toolkit will enable Solomon Islands to reduce gaps in data collection and introduce an enhanced and to reflect on the medium-term National Education Action Plan (NEAP) 2016-2020 and plan for the upcoming NEAP.Through the national adaptation of OpenEMIS, capacity development and advanced lab trainings, Solomon Islands will configure the system to the local context, modify the student assessment and examination module to the needed context and generate thematic dashboards based on selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).​
