METI Barbados OpenEMIS new national Education Management Information SystemOpenEMIS Barbados supports Barbados’ Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (METI) in the collection of individual student and staff level data, transforming the education sector through evidence-based decision making.The new OpenEMIS tool will relieve schools of data reporting burdens, allow for the tracking of individual students and teachers, and provide real-time data monitoring and analytical tools for planning. OpenEMIS features include indices that allow METI to monitor students at risk of dropping out of school with an early warning system, helping children in need in a timely and efficient manner.​
